The Affair (2014)

The Affair explores the emotional effects of an extramarital affair between Noah Solloway and Alison Lockhart after meeting in the resort town of Montauk on Long Island. Noah is a New York City professor with a published novel (A Person Visiting a Place) and is struggling to write a second book. He is happily married with four children, but feels dependent on his rich father-in-law. Alison is a young waitress who tries to destroy her life and marriage following the tragic death of her child. The story of the business is communicated separately, complemented by distinct inclinations of memory, from the perspectives of men and women. R n
